Revitalizing the village

As we gear up for the upcoming school year, we recognize that there will be many opportunities and challenges ahead of us. We want to ensure that our students, our parents and our educators feel empowered to face whatever comes their way! To that end, It is important to continue to discuss mental health and wellness, and to equip ourselves with tools and resources that help us navigate a potentially stressful educational environment. Join us on Sunday August 13th at our inaugural Revitalizing the Village event! Our sessions include presenters who are teachers, students, parents and therapists from the education, mental health, and social justice fields.

Join us for the following break out sessions:

For Parents/Community: How to be a Parent Advocate: Recognizing the Signs and Symptoms of Stress, Trauma and the Impact on learning.

For Educators: Is Teaching Enough?: Cultural Competency: The Necessity for Student Compassion AND Self Care.
